Some Advice For Your First Dance As A Married Couple,
From Daniella & Pasha From "Dancing With The Stars"

"Dancing With The Stars" pros- and real life married couple- Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov- have graced the cover and pages of "Sophisticated Weddings". And- if you're like us- you've thoroughly enjoyed watching them perform on DWTS. Particularly Daniella's Season 30 Mirrorball Trophy with partner Iman Shumpert- formerly of the New York Knicks.

Within the Q&A portion of Daniella & Pasha's "Sophisticated Weddings" magazine feature- titled: "Ain't Love GRANDE"- we asked the dynamic dancing duo and if they had any guidance for couples for their own first dance at their wedding. The pair are also the founders of WeddingDance.School. So we really wanted to hear their advice. Here's what they said:

Pasha: Definitely try dancing in your [wedding] shoes at some point before the wedding day. You don’t want to slip around the floor like Chandler did during his first dance on “Friends”!

Daniella: We definitely recommend finding a similar silhouette skirt for the ladies so they can practice in something close to their style [wedding] dress. When walking in a dress always kick it a bit in front of yourself when you walk. It will help you stay off your dress.

Pasha: Start prepping in advance to reduce the stress, don’t leave it to the last minute. We suggest starting two to three months in advance. Edit your song so it’s three minutes tops, longer than that will feel like an eternity. Most importantly, have fun with the entire process. Light some candles, put your favorite tunes and treat each practice as a little date.
