The Cake Kept Growing

By the time it was done the sweet creation

had reached 5 1/2 feet tall!

As seen in the "CONGRATULATIONS" feature in our '22 Edition:

City Sweets & Confections owner/cake artist Deborah Lauren: “Funny story about this cake... it started out as a foot and a half tall. But he kept raising the height!”

By the time wedding planner Björn VW was done instructing Deb to grow the cake for Lailina and Frank’s 620 Loft & Garden wedding, the sweet creation had reached 5 1/2 feet tall!

Underneath the handcrafted sugar peonies and ranunculus was a Champagne cake with vanilla bean mascarpone filling.
