Swimming Weather Is Here! And We've Picked Our 4 Favorite Pools From All Around The World... As Seen In Our Wanderlust Section.
The rooftop infinity pool at the five star akyra Manor Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand overlooks the country's second largest city. It is an exciting place to take a dip while enjoying a cocktail from the hotel's Rise bar & lounge.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Italy's Lake Como actually has three pools. The first (seen above) is the hotel's water-on-water pool, floating on the lake between the hotel's entrance and the vista created by the Grigne mountains.
The second (seen at left) is an indoor-outdoor infinity pool in the hotel's spa, with five hydro-massage experiences are hidden in different corners of the pool, giving a relaxing water treatment. There is also the third pool- the somewhat hidden and utterly tranquil flowers pool.
The infinity pool at ViewFort Estate - a five star luxury estate in Anguilla - sits atop the island's highest peak, overlooking Crocus Bay and the ocean. It is not only the most magnificent spot in Anguilla, but one of the most incredible in all of the Caribbean.
Honeymooners, Bachelor &/or Bachelorette Parties, and other groups of the sort will love The Cove Pool at Atlantis' Cove Club as it is an 18-and-over-only pool. The Bahamian-inspired look of The Cove pool is vibrant and the cabanas with dedicated butlers and spa treatments ensure the grownups have an excellent experience.
BONUS POOL
OK, this one isn't exactly a pool. But it will absolutely cool you off. Pictured above is "Sophisticated Weddings" Editor-in-Chief Samantha Sendor taking the "Polar Plunge"- a right of passage (of sorts) for adventurous couples who brave the treacherous waters of the Drake Passage aboard a Polar Latitudes ship to Antarctica. This trip to the bottom of the world includes encounters with penguins, seals, whales, 30,000 year old glaciers, and culminates with a jump into the icy waters.
