Sweet Inspiration

For our Tribeca Rooftop photo shoot with "The Morning Show" star Janina Gavankar, we tasked cake artist Madison Lee with creating a cake inspired by the Monique Lhuillier dress seen in the photo above.

This was not a completely unique idea. Many brides fall in love with their wedding dress and use it- or its fabric, or color, or pattern, or texture- as inspiration or a guide for everything from their wedding decor, to their invitations, to their cake!

By the way, after Brett Matthews Gallery photographer Chris Lippolt captured Janina in the dress with the cake, we let her eat the cake;
