On February 11th, the New York City wedding industry and local brides came together to celebrate in style at the release party for the 2015 Sophisticated Weddings: New York Edition. TriBeCa Rooftop was the scene to be seen, as it was beautifully decorated and designed by the uber-talented Marc Wilson of MWD Lifestyles. A luminescent sitting lounge adorned by a tree of flowers was the focal point of this downtown lofty rooftop space, creating an atmosphere that served up that perfect combination of chill yet festive.
Everywhere you turned, it was sweet treats galore, with three of New York City’s most talented cake artists offering up tasty treats. The event was a sweet dream come true thanks to the delectable signature cake pops provided by Haute So Sweet, scrumptious mini cupcakes by City Sweets, and assorted layered mini wedding cakes by Madison Lee’s Cakes.
Amidst the sweetness, the incredibly accommodating staff at TriBeCa Rooftop practically defined the very meaning of hospitality, and catered up a spread begging to be devoured. Truffled Macaroni & Cheese with Lobster Garni, Maryland Crab Cake with Remoulade, Scallops & Bacon with Maple Glaze, Seared Marinated Hangar Steak on Garlic Crostini & Horseradish Cream, and a large assortment Mediterranean table, were just some of the many culinary samplings of the evening.
Everyone knows it’s not a party until the photo booth shows up, so the party was really pumped with high energy with Shake + Share Media, where props inspired laughs, and memories were captured and printed out in seconds, and shared digitally across attendees social media channels.45 Riots rocked the party like no other band can, with every song perfectly capturing the vibe of the party in every genre, from top 40 hits to jazzy beats. We could have danced the night away listening to the sexy sounds from this killer band (who frankly played our favorite songs better than the original artists ever could!).Lisa’s Candy Buffet was an edible work of art, beautifully decorated with the evening’s signature theme colors, and sweet candy offerings, masterfully designed and impossible to resist.
Power Posse Productions created such a magnificent ambience with their custom lighting and projection of the magazine’s covers and favorite photographic moments, which truly enhanced the already beautiful and adoredTriBeCa Rooftop. At Sophisticated Weddings, we’re officially big believers that a little enhancement such as lighting goes a long way to deliver the feel and vision of the party, and Power Posse Productions hit the mark that evening.
