Last month, Brussels Airlines was a partner to the world's largest music festival, Tomorrowland, in Boom, Belgium. In advance of this massive event that spanned over two weekends, Brussels Airlines hosted its first ever Global Journey DJ Battle right here in New York City. Four DJs competed for the chance to perform at the airline's Tomorrowland Gate Parties and the Brussels Airlines VIP stand at the festival. The lucky winners also received a complete trip to Tomorrowland, which included four days of festival magic, accommodations, and travel for two.
The turn out at the Global Journey DJ Battle was incredible, and the event saw two equal winners: Fatum and Damien Anthony.
Fatum, who performed at the first weekend of the Tomorrowland festival, is a Grammy nominated artist, has been featured on releases by Anjunabeats, Armada Music, Ultra Records, and Big Beat/Atlantic Records, and has performed at the Escapade Festival on the Anjunabeats Stage. Fatum has a new hit single (featuring Angel Taylor), "On My Own".
Damien Anthony, who performed at the second weekend of Tomorrowland, is a resident Mixshow DJ on the "Weekend Throwdown with Jagger" and is a collaborator with Disco Fries and J-C-O. He has releases on Perfecto Records and has been named a #1 charting remixer by Billboard Magazine.
Looking for a unique way to spend a bachelor/bachelorette party or honeymoon? The Tomorrowland festival has attracted millions of visitors since its inception in Boom, Belgium in 2005. Each July, festival goers from around the world enjoy this incredible once in a lifetime experience, with Brussels Airlines as the travel carrier of choice.
