Say Yes To The Party

For one night last week, Kleinfeld opened its doors to the wedding industry from within the New York area to party and celebrate the start of #WeddingSeason. Wedding planners, venue owners and directors, other industry professionals, and- of course- some brides.

Kleinfeld is perhaps the most recognized name in the bridal world. Thanks to their TLC channel series, Say Yes To The Dress, and the innumerable brides who visit this Manhattan bridal salon each day, Kleinfeld is very well known and a destination for brides-to-be from all over the country.

As guests entered Kleinfeld, they walked past enormous planters holding fresh, spring-inspired florals. They were met with beautiful custom lavender programs with tassles crafted by Fancy That to introduce the evening's events. Once inside the famous bridal salon, the sounds of DJ David Chang of Power Posse Productions set the tone- the night was going to be a great time… a party. In the instant the music reached the guests’ ears, they were also hit with the aroma of fresh donuts coming out of hot oil, ready to be dressed with different kind of sauces and a variety of toppings, courtesy of the mini donut company, Glazed & Confused.

Kleinfeld sees over 100 brides a day, so they have a rather large space. Top New York décor design firm Diana Gould, Ltd. transformed the space to create a resplendent event. The high space overhead was filled with paper lanterns and the room wrapped with vines and florals. Diana Gould’s team also created a 16’ statement bar along the far wall of the room, with waterfalls cascading behind. Everything was beautifully illuminated with textured colors from Power Posse Productions.

Many people that night were already aware of Kleinfeld- who in New York bridal isn’t? But they were seeing and experiencing Kleinfeld for the first time. As the guests that night took in the room, they sipped the soft and elegant palate of Azimut Cava provided by Jenny & Francois Selections, and sampled delicious fare from Dish Food & Events. Like the décor, Dish’s menu that night was seasonally inspired, with incredible offerings like Smoked Gouda Risotto Bites, Stuffed Cucumber Cups, Duck Crêpes, and Butter Poached Lobster Toast.

There were other incredible delectables at the party courtesy of the great La Maison du Macaron, who brought the best French macarons in New York and other sweets, and the inspired Mini Melanie, who specializes in yummy wedding favors, like mini cakes and truffles.

Wedding gowns need jewelry. They go hand in hand. Greenwich St. Jewelers did more than just accessorize the Kleinfeld model “brides” who walked the room at the party. Greenwich St. Jewelers also had a Diamond Ring Selfie Station, where guests could pick from a tray of incredible rings, try them on, and snap a selfie. The selfie station was definitely a hit.

The Pnina Tornai Boutique at Kleinfeld is a destination within the destination. That night, within this room dedicated to the top bridal designer, was the Shake + Share Media photo booth. Shake + Share is always a crowd pleaser, and as the New York wedding community partied that night, many took their turns with props and comical faces, making hilarious keepsakes from the event.

About an hour into the party, DJ David switched off in the front room, as Soulsystem Orchestras began to play in the main salon. In the same space where countless brides have said “YES!,” Rob Affuso began to smash his drums, the beats reverberating as jaws dropped. The singers took to the microphones and all attention turned to this unbelievable party band and their boundless energy. Guests could not help but dance.

When Soulsystem finished their set, DJ David continued the music. Guests were still not ready to leave. There was still food to eat, Cava to enjoy, music to dance to, and eventually and at the conclusion of the evening, gift bags to take home. Gift bag sponsors included goodies from Zico Coconut Water, Bloomingdales, Alton Lane, Burden Kahn Mansions, Craig Paulson Studio, Kleinfeld, Sophisticated Weddings, Seed + Mill, Diana Gould Ltd., La Maison du Macaron, and more.

The event was an incredible success thanks to collaboration of New York's best of the best! Please click here to see many more wonderful event photos by Craig Paulson Studio.
