Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping have become household chores of the past. Ditch the upright vacuum, long tangled cords, and opt to save time and space. Intelligent home appliances have become smarter than ever, and the folks at iRobot have perfected the art of sleek convenience.
Introducing two of our new favorite home cleaning appliances, the iRobot Roomba 980 and Braava jet are an absolute essential for every couple's wedding registry.
Although Roomba has become a longstanding household name and is not a new concept to the home appliance market, its progressive state-of-the-art functionality and features to date have blown us away.
The Roomba 980 vacuuming robot features intelligent visual navigation, app control and WiFi connectivity, effortlessly cleaning the entire level of a home. Using the new iRobot HOME app (available for both Android and iOS devices), users can sit back and schedule cleanings up to seven times per week. One can even customize the cleaning cycle they wish to impose, choosing between one or two pass cleaning, edge cleaning, and Carpet Boost for a deeper clean. The vacuum robot is so intelligent, in fact, that it can detect dirtier areas to concentrate on for maximum performance. The extended battery life allows for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, and in the event that 2 hours just isn't enough for your palace, when the battery gets low, the Roomba 980 finds its way home to the battery charging station for a boost, and resumes the job after getting its juice.
Sparkling clean floors is made possible at the push of a button with the iRobot Braava jet Mopping Robot. No larger than a shoebox, the compact appliance packs a hard punch. Designed to thoroughly clean floors (even hard to reach spaces like around the toilet), the Braava jet utilizes an efficient and systematic pattern. It knows to avoid carpets and stairs, and assesses the area as to not interfere with furniture, walls, and fixtures. There are three pad types (Wet Mopping, Damp Sweeping, and Dry Sweeping) that may be simply applied depending on preference of cleaning mode. Utilizing the iRobot HOME app, users can start and stop the mop, and customize the experience for everything from spot clean to deep clean. One never even has to touch the dirty mop pads by pressing the Pad Eject button, commanding the pad to fall into the trash.
As couples design their wedding registry, the iRobot Roomba 980 (MSRP: $899.99) and Braava jet (MSRP: $199.99) are an absolute no-brainer. The products are available at several mass retailers including Bloomingdales, Amazon, and Bed Bath & Beyond. Happy shopping!
