There’s a turn off of Tarrytown’s hilly, windy Benedict Avenue that, if taken, transports you to another world. The turn leads upwards, past manicured greens that seem to foreshadow a special destination. At the hill’s peak is this other world. At the top is The Castle Hotel & Spa– a true castle that could only exist in history… or an animated Disney movie!

The entrance to The Castle is a portal to another time and place… over a century into the past, with stone structures and rich tapestries. This summer, this rare, special place is hosting a series of culinary events; pairings of various kinds of cuisine with wine and/or other spirits. Every Thursday evening, The Castle’s world-class restaurant, Equus, will present a different menu designed to complement that evening’s libations.

Guests may mix, mingle and luxuriate around The Castle’s pool, and within the Grotto, surrounded by artfully groomed trees and bushes, that seem to block out the world- with the exception of The Castle itself, which serves as a bold backdrop to each pairing- while enjoying food, drink, and even cigars.
