The Monique Lhuillier Spring 2017 collection was inspired by a woman madly in love, running through a garden. This romanticism translated into feminine silhouettes with lingerie-inspired elements. Sheer details, low backs and high slits added sensuality to the delicate gowns. The sod palette brought a combination of antique ivory and warm tones like rose and caramel. The effortless designs were perfect for a chic bohemian wedding.

Moroccanoil invited Sophisticated Weddings for a special look at Monique Lhuillier backstage, where we got to see the work of the incredible Kevin Hughes - hair designer and Moroccanoil's brand ambassador and creative director - whom created beautiful, effortless looks to complement the runway looks. The inspiration was the nymph-like feel in Monique's collection and the result is stunning.

  1. To create the perfect styling foundation, prep damp hair with a dime-sized amount for soft texture and long-lasting shine.

  2. Apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream from root to tip, and follow by blow drying hair..

  3. Create a deep center part using a boar bristle paddle brush and separate hair into even sections.

  4. Mist an even amount of heat styling protection to protect hair from breakage.

  5. Wrap each section around a 1 ¼ inch barrel curling iron, leaving the ends loose to create a gentle bend.

  6. Next, spray texture spray for volume and touchable texture.

  7. Piece out the ends using Moroccanoil Texture Clay to add definition.

  8. Place hairspray over every inch of hair to ensure long-lasting hold.

  9. To finish the look, place a delicate headband an inch behind the hairline, and gently pull sections from the front to tuck behind the band.

Mixing tradition with trend, Reem Acra's Spring 2017 collection had the perfect combination of drama and elegance. Classic silhouettes were freshly redesigned with interesting fabrics. Lace-up bustiers with see-through lace bodices and skirts added sex-appeal to the gowns. Convertible trains into veils (yes, you read it right!) were certainly an exciting surprise!

Sophisticated Weddings was backstage at the Marchesa fashion show. Hair stylist and Moroccanoil's Creative Ambassador Kevin Hughes, guided us through the romantic looks that were developed for the show.

Here's a step-by-step on how to get the models' gorgeous hairstyle!

Marchesa's Spring Summer 2017 collection was inspired by an enchanted garden with flourishing rosebuds and blossoming florals in the sunrise. The colors of the gowns reflected the inspiration, bringing beautiful shades of blush and nude to the mix of off-white dresses. Lightweight tulles, French Chantilly lace and 3D organza roses, contrasted with plunging necklines and peek-a-boo cut-outs giving a modern edge to very romantic designs.

Deep and pure love was the theme of Galia Lahav's presentation at New York Bridal Market. While Galia's "Gala No. 2" collection was an ode to effortless beauty and nonchalant silhouettes, the "Le Secret Royal" line was the perfect contrast with extravagant designs fit for a queen.

The new season of "Say Yes To The Dress" just started, and you cannot miss the first episode! Typically at the end of each show, a real wedding of one of the brides is featured. In the opening episode of season 14 you will see the wedding of the one and only Hayley Paige! Yes, the designer! And it is the ultimate fairy tale wedding (with a blue unicorn and everything!). The most exciting part is not the actual wedding itself, but rather the gorgeous dresses! The designer wore 3 different gowns on her wedding day, and a total of 5 during the weekend of the party. Needless to say, each gown was stunning!

We all remember Pnina Tornai's Wind Upon Water collection presented at Kleinfeld during the last  Bridal Market. Recently, Pnina released on her website and social media a photo shoot that will make you not not believe your eyes when you see it. The truly gorgeous collection is captured in the desert, where romantic embroidered gowns contrast with the dry dramatic set. The hairstyles and make up brought a modern touch that made the photos worth of a fashion editorial.
