Jenna Johnson and Valentin Chmerkovskiy are two of the fan favorite pro's from ABC's long-running, wildly popular series, "Dancing With The Stars". And, they are happily married in real life.
"Sophisticated Weddings" had an idea for one of the shots for the prancing pair's magazine photo shoot at New York City's legendary Pierre Hotel. The idea was to photograph the couple in bed, sipping Champagne. Jenna would be in a negligee and Val shirtless.
In clearing the concept in advance, the publication learned that Jenna was raised Mormon and was not comfortable being
photographed with alcohol. However, the couple was entirely agreeable with being photographed in the envisioned states of dress... and undress.
Jenna's limitations required a creative solution, which led to a shot that was even better than the original concept. "Sophisticated Weddings" decided to photographed the couple with cake!
The magazine's feature was so well received, it reached outside of the bridal universe, being covered by "US" Magazine, "The Daily Mail" (included in video, below), and more.
